We enjoyed a wonderful Thanksgiving with as much of our family as was available for the day.

Ali and Linda did their math (projecting a seven-hour cook time) and got a proper head start on the turkey so it would be ready at the planned gathering time. Much to our surprise, Ali found the temperature to be above the target after only three hours. The oven apparently has some convectional features, which somehow propelled us four hours forward on our schedule. The Mortensens adjusted their arrival and we scrambled to prepare the rest of the food before the turkey went cold. In the end, everything turned out well.

William didn't each much, but Elliott enjoyed turkey, mashed potato, and applesauce. Ali whipped them into a blend that was well-received several times (including as leftovers).
Prior to the big day, Ali made two festive hats for each of the boys. Here is Elliott in his pilgrim hat...
...and William strutting his stuff with a turkey hat.
We hope you all had a terrific Thanksgiving.
