The trick-or-treating season began with our church Trunk-or-Treat. Here are our little pumpkin and wizard!
In all honesty, no one really felt that great since we were all getting over a cold,
but it was really fun to get out and see a few friends while the kids loaded up on candy.
It was also great practice for William and Elliott's "trick-or-treat!"'s and "thank you!"'s
On Halloween William got to have a parade and party at his school. It was fun to watch and wave at him while he walked around the field with his "Harbor Day Family". The Harbor Day Family is a child from each grade that make up a "family" with a teacher or staff member. They do service projects and other activities together.
Here is our little pumpkin in full trick-or-treating mode. Elliott really got the hang of it, and was only slightly spooked at times. He kept reminding himself and us that it was only "Tetend" (pretend).
We ended up going back to a neighborhood in our Woodbridge community that always does an AMAZING job decorating. Most of the houses are decorated over the top, and many of them even have tables set up in front with the home owners ready for the kids with their cauldrons of treats.
William really wanted his picture taken with this Snoopy in front of one of the houses.
This kids had a blast, got tons of candy, and even got to see two coyotes run away from our house when we got home. Very spooky! The coyotes even came back later and ate/destroyed our jack-o-lanterns. The kids went to bed without eating or asking for any of their candy, they were too excited that the next morning we were going to Disneyland!
