Ice

Over Christmas break we were able to go visit the Chill exhibit at the Queen Mary in Long Beach.  The kids had a great time, but it was very cold!  It was about 9 degrees inside the exhibit so I was glad we had brought all of the extra clothes we were all bundled up in.  Elliott wasn't so sure.  I was so bundled up he could hardly move.

 William loved the slides.  First he tried out this little slide that looked like a whale.  After a couple of times on that he decided that he wanted to give the big one a try.

 I was very surprised and impressed that he would give it a try.  I think it helped that his cute Carter cousins were up there and helped him out.

One of the rooms was full of sculptures of toys.  The boys liked the train the best.

My favorite was the room with the ice nativity.

 It was absolutely gorgeous, and the work that went into each piece was stunning.

 After we warmed up we headed over to the Queen Mary.  The boys loved looking around and playing with the things they could touch.

William loved to look at his little pamphlet with a map of the Queen Mary and tell everybody where to go.  He also thought the Russian submarine floating outside of the ship was pretty neat too.  Then the kids melted down and we went home.  It was a fun afternoon with cousins, and great memories for the kids.
