Christmas Eve

We had such a nice Christmas Eve.  Elliott and I spent the morning making cookies for Santa,

while William much preferred doing this.

He had found some neat Christmas games on the Google Santa tracker website, and loved playing with a jet pack elf collecting gifts.

Later, we headed off to Nana's house for dinner.  William got to share a Christmas poem that he had learned,

and Elliott sang the cutest Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer I may have ever heard.  

Here they are watching their cousins have a turn to perform.  It was a lovely night, and we were sad to cut it a bit short when Elliott started coming down with a tummy bug.

William's Poem:

A diamond shines no brighter

than that lovely Christmas star.


It shines in all its brilliance;


it's seen from near or far.


A symbol of the Christ child


as He lay upon the hay,


It tell to all the waiting world


a King was born that day.

O Bethlehem Star keep shining -


give us faith and hope and love.


Keep our thoughts forever turning


to the Savior up above.


Give us strength and hope and courage


to do our best by far


And never falter in our faith


as we watch that Christmas star...
