How did this boy get so big? There is nothing little about him anymore. From his two lost teeth, to those long legs, he is just all big boy.
William has seemed to have matured a bit in the last couple of months as well. It is much more rare to have William have a temper tantrum, or throw or hit. He seems to want to help out a little more, and is kind to his brother-most of the time. These are all definitely welcome changes. He still doesn't like school a ton. He is quite the homebody and would much rather be at home in his jammies than out in the world, but fortunately he has found a couple of good friends at school. He still says that he likes to play with Zach and Tommy, but has also added Tak and Gavin which I am happy about. He says he likes to play soccer at recess with his friends, and likes using his desk whiteboard and playing a counting the ants game at school the best.
William still loves light green and now some gold, and loves to run EVERYWHERE. He loves cheetahs, and playing with his Chima legos in his room. He even lets Elliott play with him sometimes if he plays by William's rules. The boys often have an elaborate Chima game going on outside with crocodiles and lions and drawing spikes to avoid with chalk. Sometimes Daddy can even be talked into playing a Chima lego game on the computer with William.
William still struggles with interrupting people all the time, and thinking he knows absolutely everything (he is very difficult to teach), but we are working on it. He will be starting Pony baseball in the spring and has had a lot of fun practicing on the weekends with his new equipment. We are hoping he will be on his friend Gavin's team. William's favorite books to read right now are Harry Potter (we have only let him read up through book 3), his Wizardology book, the "Diary of a ... " book set that his friend Zach gave him, and the Green Eggs and Ham book that Nana made for Daddy on his mission. It is so fun to watch him get lost in a book.
William is starting to eat more, and even gained 2 pounds over his winter break! He says his favorite food is peanut butter for breakfast, In and Out for lunch, and Swedish meatballs for dinner. Both the boys have favorite clothes they want to wear everyday. For William it is his gray Puma shorts, and white and green Puma shirt because he thinks they look like cheetahs.
William is always thinking and is so perceptive about things. We know if he keeps heading in the right direction and following his heart, and what he knows to be right, he will be a pretty amazing person.
We love watching him learn and grow and get better and better. He is a keeper!
