Easter

The boys wanted to try a more traditional Easter egg dying this year.  So we got a kit, and the boys experimented with the different colors.  

They had fun writing with the way crayon on their eggs, and watching them change color in the dye.

Elliott even tried dipping different parts of his eggs in different colors to see what colors he could make.  

Easter morning Elliott was up bright and early, as usual.  William, also as usual, would not get out of bed.

So, Elliott got started on decorating his egg-shaped pancakes and putting all the different sprinkles, mini M&M's and mini chocolate chips he could fit on his pancakes.  They were pretty colorful Easter eggs by the time he was done.

 Then we were ready for the hunt.  Each boy got to look for 15 eggs.  Elliott got a bit of a head start, and found his eggs first, and then helped William find the last 15.  

 Then it was time to look for the special silver egg.  That one is always the trickiest to find, and it was again this year.  

 After a few extra hints, they were able to find it!

 After opening the clues in their eggs they figured out where their Easter basket was hidden.

 There were lots of fun things to play with, but they especially loved their new football, Lego books, and their new water bottles that could spray mist.

 It was a fun and happy Easter!
