Apples

Peter is doing so well with school.  He is really coming along with learning how to read, and with his numbers.  Each month we have a theme and his first month was apples!  We learned all about how apples grow, and read stories like "Johnny Apple Seed", and the "Apple Pie Tree".  

Peter was so excited to make an apple pie to celebrate our apple theme.  We worked hard to peel and cut all the apples, and make the dough.

Peter was so proud of his finished pie!

 After making some homemade ice cream to go with it, Peter dug in.  When he finished his first bite he said "Umm..I don't think I like apple pie.  Can I have more ice cream?"  Oh well!  We tried.  And Mark really liked the rest of the pie!
