As Christmas break was ending, the boys let us know that they REALLY wanted to go to the snow.
So Mark took the day off and we headed up to Wrightwood in hopes of finding some. After battling a tremendous amount of traffic, and a closed road, we parked on the side of the closed highway and hiked until we found what we were looking for.
It was beautiful! And freshly fallen!
There were great hills to sled down,
and the boys loved exploring and following animal tracks and looking for icicles.
Peter decided we didn't even need sleds to sled down the hill!
Snowballs were thrown.
Fresh snow was eaten.
And a wonderful time was had by all.
Peter's favorite part was the icicles, which he collected and guarded fiercly.
The end of our morning in the snow was spent building this cute little guy:
