Before we knew it, it was time to head back to school. Elliott is going in to his last year at Vista Verde as an eighth grader , and Peter is starting as a second grader.
Elliott was sad to leave summer behind, but was excited to start the year as an ASB officer in the student body and helping to lead the school as the secretary.
Peter was excited to see his friend Duke again, but mostly was sad to not be home with Mommy anymore.

We enjoyed being able to walk Peter into his class on the first day and meet his sweet teacher, Mrs. Sandberg.
She sent us a few picture updates throughout the first week, as Peter was having a hard time adjusting, reassuring us he was doing well and having fun. Although morning drop off has been rough, almost every day he has come home saying that he loves school and wants to stay for longer.
We hope this is a wonderful year of growth, learning and friendship for both of the boys.
*William got a longer summer and headed back at the end of August for his big Junior year!
