This big kid is 6! How did he get so big so quickly? Elliott loves his jammies, and looks forward to coming home from school and putting them on, so it seemed only right to get a picture of him in his jammies.
Elliott is enjoying Kindergarten most days. His favorite part is "choice time" where he gets to choose what he does. Some friends play with the Magnatiles, or Legos, or drawing on the white boards, but Elliott loves to draw and make "books". Every day he comes home with a new book that he has made. Sometimes it has numbers and pictures, sometimes he makes games in his books, and sometimes he tries to write stories. I love to see what he comes up with.
Elliott can almost always be found with scissors, paper, and a stapler near by. He is always thinking of things to draw or make and is very creative. He has recently started an art class on Wednesdays, which he is very excited about. He says his favorite things to do at home is make things and listen to stories. His love of making things has recently included making things with tools and wood and nails. So for his birthday Elliott got his own tool box filled with real tools. He now has a hammer, screw drivers, a hand drill, a saw, measuring tape, lots of nails and screws, and of course, safety goggles. He has also started going to a children's class at the hardware store on Saturday's with daddy to learn how to make more fun things.
His favorite colors right now are gold and silver, and his favorite foods are still Swedish meatballs and fudge. He loves to hear stories at night, and has been so good about reading his scriptures every night before bed. Some of his favorite books are Piggie and Elephant books, Brambly Hedge, Kipper, and Crinkleroot stories.
Elliott has such a sweet heart, and wise soul. He has great self-control, and understands the world around him so well already. It is amazing to see his relationship with his Father in Heaven growing everyday. We are so lucky to have him in our family, and he says he is most excited about his baby brother coming this year.
