Harry Potter World

The boys have been desperately wanting to go to Harry Potter world since it opened in April, but having a baby sort of got in the way.  But we promised as soon as it was Fall break we would go.  So the second day of break off we went.  Unfortunately, William had a few incidents at school the week before break where he got in trouble for kicking another boy, and being rude to a parent volunteer, so he lost the privilege of going with us and had to stay home with Ahma instead.
Peter was a trooper exploring Hogsmead with us, and doing all the things that Elliott wanted to do.
The first thing Elliott wanted to do was visit Ollivander's and get a wand.
There was a fun presentation by "Ollivander" and then he entered the next room to choose a wand.  The wands worked at different places around the park where he was able to wave his wand a certain way and magical things would happen.  He would be able to make music boxes play, lights turn on, and make things move.  It was very exciting!
The next stop was Honeydukes!  There were so many things to choose from.  Eventually Elliott chose some sugar crystals and cotton candy for his treat, and Mommy chose a chocolate frog that had a Dumbledore card inside!
After some more wandwork, and visiting shops around Hogsmead, we headed to the Three Broomsticks for lunch.  The frozen butterbeer was yummy, and though Elliott didn't like his mac and cheese, he loved Mommy's roast.
Then he sent some owl post.  He filled out a letter to William back home, to let him know what a great time he was having, and then he sent it to the post office box labeled "Owl Post".  When William got it a few days later, it was stamped as coming from Hogsmead.
We took a tour of Hogwarts, which was very fun.  Elliott decided that he did not want to go on either of the rides (they looked too scary for him), so we finished the day getting some pumpkin juice and Gilly Water to take home for our Halloween party,
and visited the Weasley's car by the Whomping Willow.  It was a very fun day, and Elliott gave it a 10 out of 10.  William says he would like to come with this friend Evan for his birthday, so we may be back soon!
