Christmas 2016

Christmas fell on a Sunday this year, and with 9:00 church it changed our Christmas morning a bit from what it usually was.  Christmas Eve was spent at Nana's and Papa's house, where the boys performed music for their cousins.  Elliott performed "Jingle Bells" on the piano, and William performed "O, Come Little Children" on his violin and "Frosty the Snowman" on the piano.  They are such musical kids!  When we came home, the boys helped put out cookies, and then with their new Santa responsibilities helped set up Christmas for Peter, and then we read the Christmas story together as a family.
Christmas morning everyone was up early!  The boys went downstairs to open their Santa present, and their Christmas stocking, and still had time for some homemade chocolate croissants and milk before we headed off for church.  When we returned Ahma, Nana, Papa and Aunt Missy joined us for several hours while we had a Christmas brunch and played with William's new stop motion animation kit.
A wonderful part of this Christmas was watching the boys gift their secret Santa gifts to each other that they had purchased.
William gave Elliott the lego set he had bought for him,
and Elliott helped Peter open the book and stuffed owl set he got for him,
and then read him the sweet story.
We finished the day with some family movie time, and a delicious turkey dinner.  Another wonderful Christmas in the books!
