This is the first summer that Peter was able to join Elliott on swim team. He had spent the last few months before summer working with his swim teacher to learn to swim across the pool so he could qualify for swim team and he did it! He has grown so much in his swimming this summer, and more importantly, he has had a great time!
He even won several races!
He really enjoyed backstroke, but by the end of the season thought that freestyle and butterfly were his favorites.
He was a great teammate in his relays. He loved his coach Kara, who adored him, and was so excited to see him every day at swim practice.
He is excited to swim again next summer!
Elliott also had a great swim summer. He improved his times so much and learned to love some of the other strokes like freestyle. He still is not a big fan of butterfly or breaststroke, though he did win some races in those events.
Perhaps on of our favorite things about swim team is being with friends. We are lucky to have our good friends the Adams, Chadwicks, and Oylers swimming with us on the team. Swim meets were a great time to catch up and for the boys to play games together.
