Meeting Santa

Saturday morning we headed over to see Santa at Roger's Garden.  Elliott was so excited to see Santa, and it was so cute to see his face light-up when he saw Santa walking in.  He was a little concerned that Santa didn't have a mouth, but I assured him it was just under his white beard.  When it was his turn to visit with Santa he didn't even look back as he walked right up to Santa and quietly said "Hi, Santa!"
Santa was very nice, and asked the boys what they would like for Christmas.
They both asked for some Dinosaur Train Mega Bloks.
Santa asked William if he had been good this year, and he said "most of the time", and then proceeded to tell Santa that Elliott had been naughty some this year.  Deflection...good strategy William.
After they were done with their visit, Santa gave each of the boys a candy cane and a silver bell.  They were so in love with their little bells!  What a special treat.
Later that day we had a quiet time at home decorating our gingerbread house.  The boys spent a lot of time deciding where all of the little candy people should go, and William really wanted to make sure the candies were put on in and alternating pattern.  It turned out beautifully!
