Summer Fun Part 2

During the second part of our break it got especially hot.
We spent a fun morning bowling in the air conditioned bowling alley.
The boys both enjoyed it and were so happy when they found out they tied!
Orange balls, and bumpers, and bowling ramps make for a great game.
When we saw a recipe for a giant chocolate cookie we knew we needed to give it a try.  I think they boys tried to cover every inch of it with m&m's and giant chocolate chips.  It definitely tasted as good as it looked.
We absolutely loved having Missy visit us for a few days.  She is always so patient, and fun to play with.  Elliott had a blast playing tennis with a balloon outside with Missy.  William was terrified of the balloon popping on the grass.  After he spent some time hiding in the garage he decided he would be the ball boy and try to keep the ball off the grass.
We made some bird feeders for our bird friends outside,
and had so much fun swimming at Nana's house every day we possibly could.
By the end of the week Elliott's toes were all blistered from rubbing on the walls, and I could swear William's hair had turned a shade of green.  All signs of a thoroughly enjoyed time.
The boys even spent an afternoon at Roger's Garden for a children's gardening class.
The boys got to plant sunflower seeds, make flower bracelets,
and plant succulents in sea shells.
I think Elliott might have loved the juice boxes, fruit, and goldfish cracker snack more than anything, but they were pretty proud of all the projects they got to bring home too.

We feel liked we packed as much summer in to our few short weeks, and though we are sad to see it go, we are excited for William's new school year!
