Swim Meet

William was encouraged by his coach to participate in a swim meet, so the 5th of July we headed out for his first competitive swim event.  William was not really excited about doing it, but we promised he would get a ribbon no matter what happened, which finally convinced him to do it.

 He swam the 25 yard freestyle, and did really well.  I could tell he was giving it his best, and he went rather fast for the first bit, doing his side breathing and everything.

At the very end he started getting tired, but made it!

After the meet William had a fun surprise.  The kids who stayed got to go diving for coins.  A bunch of coins were thrown in and the kids went for them!  William got to take home whatever he found.
