Fall Break in San Diego Part 1

Our last week of fall break we took this kids to San Diego.  Our first day we started at the Wild Animal Park that Peter was so looking forward to,
but he was coming off a fever and ended up sleeping through some of the best parts.
He did have a little bit of time to play once he woke up,
and he and the rest of the boys especially loved the little meerkats.
We enjoyed what we could, but will have to make a trip back when Peter if feeling 100% again.
But when Peter woke-up the next morning he was feeling much better and was all ready to run and play at the beach.

Later in the week we headed down to Old Town San Diego to see the Mormon Battalion.

The Mormon Battalion center was amazing, with an incredible presentation that moved from room to room helping the kids really understand and feel a part of the battalion.  I think they left feeling a much greater appreciation for the sacrifices of the early saints who volunteered to serve their country, their fellow saints, and follow their prophet,
The enjoyed panning for gold at the end of the presentation and taking their small bit of  (fools) gold home with them.

We make a pretty good looking crew of soldiers!
