Peter's birthday was a little different this year with having to stay at home, but we all tried our best to make it a wonderful day for him. It started with his sweet teachers, Ms. Sue and Ms. Melody, driving by and singing "Happy Birthday" to Peter.
Ms. Melody made him a beautiful Harry Potter sign, and Ms. Sue brought him some oranges from her orange tree. We were sad we weren't able to give them big hugs with the new regulations about social distancing, but we blew lots of kisses and know they felt our love.
Peter wanted a Harry Potter themed party so we started the day with the sorting hat.
He was so happy to have been sorted into Gryffyndor, his favorite house.
Then on to Herbology where he replanted a Mandrake.
And to potions where he made Goblin Goo (glow in the dark slime).
After Potions class was Care of Magical Creatures. Peter's favorite creature, a Hippogriff, escaped and Peter had to help find him.
He found him hiding up in a tree!
Then off to flying lessons.
Peter was so excited to get his own broomstick.
William took on the role of flying instructor.
And then it was time for Quidditch!
After a busy day of classes, Peter wanted his favorite dinner-CPK noodles (twisty alfredo noodles) and Butterbeer of course!
Peter had asked for a Honeydukes cake for his birthday, so we made a chocolate frog themed cake which he loved.
One of the best parts was opening the chocolate frog tin on the top to reveal a giant chocolate frog for him to eat.
Finally Peter had a Harry Potter movie night where Elliott acted as our Honeydukes shop keeper and helped hand out delicious treats to eat while watching Harry Potter.
It was definitely a memorable and magical birthday!
