Elliott and Peter had three weeks off of school for their fall break, and they decided they wanted to spend their middle week in La Jolla. We left Mark and William at home for work and school and headed down for a week at the beach.
They were so excited to be at the beach that as soon as we got there they headed out into the water.
When we weren't at the beach we would walk around the pond and visit the ping pong table,
playground,
golf course,
and the new bocce ball court.
The boys loved our room right on the sand and the traditional vacation Lucky Charms for breakfast and special ice cream for dessert.
Smores on the sand were another special treat.
Though I think they liked the smore sticks as much as the smores.
Elliott had a blast boogie boarding,
and Peter even gave it a try too.
He had one good ride, and then decided he preferred watching Elliott.
Peter's favorite beach activity was chasing the sea gulls. No seagull was safe with Peter around.
We loved falling asleep to the sound of the waves, the beautiful sunsets, but mostly the time to relax and be together.
