We talked about the signs of Christ's birth in the Americas. We told the story about how the followers of Samuel the Lamanite were being persecuted for their beliefs that Christ would be born, and of the signs that they were waiting for that they believed would foretell of Christ's birth. We talked about how the wicked Nephites told the followers of Samuel that if the signs did not occur within a certain amount of time that they would all be killed.
Aunt Missy was in town and was able to play the part of the wicked Nephites for us. William was Nephi, and prayed to Heavenly Father to know what to do about the wicked Nephites wanting to kill the followers of Samuel, and Mommy was Heavenly Father telling Nephi that the signs would happen very soon and not to worry. Ahma did a wonderful job being the new star that signaled Christ's birth.

William and Elliott opened their presents from Grandpa and Debbie.
William got a new tree swing that he is excited to try when it stops raining.
And Elliott got a neat walker wagon. He likes being pushed around in it, but hasn't done so well with the pushing. William really likes to give him rides in it, but goes a little too fast. This is a present that will be fun for a long time.
