Elliott at 4 1/4

Elliott has started to get a bit more attitude and sass, and we are trying to nip it in the bud.  Lately, he has been very active, and talkative, and has a harder time being patient.  We now have two very active, loud boys in the house.

Elliott is an early riser, usually getting up before everyone else.  He has learned to get himself some cereal if he is hungry, and has really gotten in to listening to CD's on his CD player.  His very favorite is from the Beginners Bible series.  He LOVES his Beginners Bible book.   He already knows most of the characters and stories, and can even repeat verbatim parts of the stories.  We are very impressed!

Elliott is also learning to read.  We have been working with him on BOB books, and also the computer program that William used, Headsprout.  He has gotten better and better at sounding out 3-4 letter words.  Elliott is also doing very well writing his name, and will be sure to let people know if they forgot to dot the "i" in his name.

In his free time Elliott is all about projects.  We have even made him a little box with a handle to keep his scissors, and stickers, and paper in so he is always ready.  He loves to cut and stick and glue.  It is especially sweet that most of his projects are to give other people.  Today he decided to cut straws in to pieces and string them on to string to make necklaces.  He is a clever kid!

Elliott does not like to be left out.  When William decided he wanted spiky hair, Elliott wanted spiky hair too.  When William wanted new shirts and shoes, Elliott wanted the same ones too.  Elliott likes Chima, we suspect, because William is very excited about it.  We will often find them playing an imaginary Chima game together.

Elliott is very good at puzzles, and is almost always up for a board game.  He loves the color orange, and Carnation Instant Breakfast (also known as chocolate drink), and is especially fond of popcorn right now.  He loves reading stories at night with Mommy, and riding bikes with brother.
We are so lucky to have you in our family Elliott!
