This big guy has been learning some new things in lessons too!
He is still working on his freestyle and, in particular, perfecting his side breathing.
He is also working on getting down his backstroke. Here he is working on his backstroke start.
Off he goes.
This is a favorite of mine, as it was my stroke when I competed, so it is fun to watch William do it.
And recently he has started working on breaststroke. This one is tricky because it takes a lot of coordination.
And of course, some diving. During our last practice Kyle asked William if he would like to do a swim competition in a week. We know William can be very competitive, but he also really likes to win, so we weren't sure what he was going to say. When we assured him that he would get a rainbow ribbon no matter what, he was much more excited about it. It will be the on the 5th, the day after he has a running race, so we will see if he feels up to it!
